I know there's multiple threads out there that concern this topic, but i wanted to start a main topic for it. I noticed with vanilla kernels, powermanagement bundles stop working correctly and batteries no longer show up. I did tons of searches and i found no bundles for this purpose. If you are also experiencing this issue, and you haven't found a solution, post your specs here, maybe someone can help. If you HAVE found a solution, other than switching back to a patched kernel, then share! Anywys, here's my specs:

Install: Kalyway 10.5.1 Vanilla kernel and appleacpiplatform.kext, PC-EFI v8 (everything works except battery)

Hardware: Gateway MT6840

Intel 945GM Mobile chipset, GMA950, 2GB RAM, 160GB SATA II drive (works great), Intel Core Duo T2450 (2.0GHz)

i think that's all the info we need for this.

Well, the answer is : you can get it working with vanilla AppleACPIPlatform

only if you add AppleACPIPowerSource.kext plugin (vanilla Leopard does not contain it anymore), then change your vanilla PowerManagement.bundle to a one fixed ...

See thread: Leopard PowerManagement bundle

and check this post

As for kernels: it does not matter, will work with any...
