JamieN
My leopard install went fantasticly smooth on my sony vaio laptop, and the two main questions i have is - No battery meter, cannot see how much i have left (i hear there is a kext for this?) And also, when im on leopard (iATKOS) i notice my laptop/battery get alot hotter at times and blows hot air (but my vista partition is fairly cool) is this normal/safe that i should expect leopard to make the laptop hotter then vista? (no pun intended ) Thanks. Jamie. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84047-no-battery-meter-hotter-battery/ Share on other sites
dawiinci
Maybe SpeedStep isn't working. There is a tutorial about how to enable it. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84047-no-battery-meter-hotter-battery/#findComment-596733 Share on other sites
JamieN
I found the topic, downloaded it and the install failed so i tried to do it manually but i mucked up - so as i was reinstalling i found that the iATKOS has an option for speedstop so i used that, I'm not to sure if it has made a difference sometimes it seems better but sometimes it seems the same.
