    10.6.8 officially released

Thanks for that. I hope this will fix all issues otherwise I probably stay at 10.6.7 forever. Maybe Nawcom adds these fixes to his package - that would be great. I don't want to update the AMD to Lion so I could probably pass 10.6.8.

    10.6.8 officially released

configd keeps crashing, system is very slow and unresponsive, drives don't mount automatically, wifi is disabled, boot takes longer, ... Horrible update for my AMD. Nawcoms v2 package and Chameleon RC5 r10xx didn't help either. Will this be fixed and is anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Chameleon v2.1 (Main Trunk)

Yes I posted there too, but as Nawcom is taking a break I don't think I get a solution. Everyone is heading for Lion - which is good but some AMD machines better stay on Snow Leopard so I am missing a solution. The problem is obviously that 10.6.8 has a lot of components of Lion integrated.

I don't know what it does but I can say it doesn't work for me. It still stucks at PCI beginning... along with the other issues if I manage to boot. (see some posts earlier)

Yes, I installed Nawcom's package (v2) but still the same issues. Thanks!

    Chameleon v2.1 (Main Trunk)

I'm having massive issues when updating an AMD (Athlon 64 X2 4000+) to 10.6.8. configd keeps crashing, system is very slow and unresponsive, drives don’t mount automatically, wifi is disabled, boot takes longer, menu bar locks up frequently… Could these issues be fixed by the latest Chameleon RC5? I'm sorry but I really don't find any binaries from the latest r1xxx. Even here is nothing to download... http://goo.gl/kyQhn

I installed 10.6.3 over the installation and it worked normally. As soon as I updated the issues were back. I have no idea what to do or if there will be a fix.

    Bluetooth Trust 2400p driver

When I send the system to sleep and unplug a USB device at the same time the system frezes as it freezes with the driver. So I guess it could be because the driver deactivates the device in a away it shouldn't. Maybe just because the IDs are wrong.

    Bluetooth Trust 2400p driver

AT least I can confirm that the driver works great, except wake on sleep. The mouse is working after about 2 seconds from wake up and never lost connection. So far so good. But to wake the system there has to be a abetter way. No one here who uses the Trust 2400p with wake on sleep?
  11. I use the Trust 2400p USB dongle. It works out of the box but sometimes it loses connection after sleep and I can't wake the computer up by pressing a button. There are two approaches to get this to work but none of them seems to work completely. Did anyone have more luck with the Trust 2400p? I posted an experimental version of the driver but it doesn't work with wake up by bluetooth. Sometimes it wakes but after this sleep doesn't work properly (fans stay on). Legacy Driver http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=236310 Thanks for any help

    Sleep just never works

System doze?? This is why it wakes up... I don't know what to do! I now have a vanilla AMD with chameleon RC5 - what kext should I add? Could it be because of fakesmc 2.5?

    Fixing Bluetooth and sleep issues

Well I really thought it works properly, but the system just wakes up in the middle of the night and is unusable. Just a black screen. loginwindow[25] loginwindow SleepWakeCallback will power on, ... com.apple.message.domain: com.apple.loginwindow.logs com.apple.message.signature: will power on event received I try to build a legacy Bluetooth kext: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=236310

    Fixing Bluetooth and sleep issues

Wow I just fixed both issues! Thanks to ttgolf! Maybe this can be useful for others: Copy /System/Library/Extensions/IOBluetoothFamily.kext to your desktop and make backup Open it in Textedit IOBluetoothFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/BroadcomUSBBluetoothHCIControl/Contents/info.plist Inside IOKitPersonalities copy an entry and change the idProduct to your Bluetooth dongle Product ID and idVendor to your Bluetooth dongle's Vendor ID. Change the name to Broadcom2046FamilyUSBBluetoothHCIController_TT. NOTE: you need to convert the HEX information of your Bluetooth dongle found in System Preferences/Hardware/USB to Decimal. In my case my Product ID is 0x2148 (8520 in decimal) and Vendor ID is 0x0a5c (2652 in decimal). Credits go to ttgolf In my case it looks like this: <key>IOKitPersonalities</key> <dict> followed by the code added manually: <key>Broadcom2046FamilyUSBBluetoothHCIController_TT</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>com.apple.driver.BroadcomUSBBluetoothHCIController</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>Broadcom2045FamilyUSBBluetoothHCIController</string> <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOUSBDevice</string> <key>IOProviderMergeProperties</key> <dict> <key>ClassicMustNotSeize</key> <true/> </dict> <key>idProduct</key> <integer>8520</integer> <key>idVendor</key> <integer>2652</integer> </dict> Wakes from sleep and works after sleep!
