doggyworld
I had my Hackintosh all setup with GMA950 and decided to get an NVidia 7300GS because I wanted to get rid of the mouse tearing in Firefox.. but, I noticed something weird in XBench after I supposedly upgraded. My Graphics scores went from this on GMA950: Quartz Graphics Test 178.33 Line 138.51 9.22 Klines/sec [50% alpha] Rectangle 187.63 56.02 Krects/sec [50% alpha] Circle 155.28 12.66 Kcircles/sec [50% alpha] Bezier 149.17 3.76 Kbeziers/sec [50% alpha] Text 426.42 26.67 Kchars/sec OpenGL Graphics Test 246.36 Spinning Squares 246.36 312.52 frames/sec User Interface Test 173.95 Elements 173.95 798.33 refresh/sec To this with the 7300GS: Quartz Graphics Test 184.79 Line 145.59 9.69 Klines/sec [50% alpha] Rectangle 195.31 58.31 Krects/sec [50% alpha] Circle 160.24 13.06 Kcircles/sec [50% alpha] Bezier 153.15 3.86 Kbeziers/sec [50% alpha] Text 434.98 27.21 Kchars/sec OpenGL Graphics Test 181.82 Spinning Squares 181.82 230.65 frames/sec User Interface Test 198.36 Elements 198.36 910.38 refresh/sec Notice how my OpenGL test went significantly down. I would have thought with a dedicated graphics card, it would have gone up. Even though it is a really crappy video card. Any ideas? mtotho
Dont worry about it, 7300gs is definatelly better, xbench is terrible, use a real bench mark or use one in windows to get real results. Which kexts did u use for the 7300? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83828-nvidia-7300gs-vs-gma950/#findComment-595334 Share on other sites
