If you install EFI (your machine has to be Core 2 or Pentium D based), then you can run 10.4.11 with vanilla kexts and everything. Otherwise if your computer doesn't support EFI, you will have to run 10.4.11 with patched kexts from 10.4.10.

Tell me which method you want to go with and I'll give instructions ;)

P.S. This thread is in the wrong forum, should go in the 10.4 Tiger subforum of the OSx86 Installation forum.

yeahhh i know it's the wrong forum ;):D:D:D okay well what is that EFI thing? i thought it's needed when u want to install leopard? omg i'm sooo not knowing this stuff  if u can add me on MSN and talk that'll be soooo good i'm PMing my id to u on MSN

Sorry I don't use MSN but, EFI is kinda hard to explain. It emulates the EFI in macs (thats like the BIOS for Macs) so your computer is recognied as a real Mac Pro instead of the OSx86 Development platform. This allows you to run native Apple updates, etc. without patching anything :P

Thats as best as I can explain it.

It would be great if u can give me information how to update my 10.4.9 (AMD 64 3200+ (SSE) to 10.4.11.

In the moment i have changed it to 10.4.11 via System Version Changer because i wanted to install iWork08 , but now i want to try if Safari 3 works fine on 10.4.11 (i installed Leopard and i had lots of Safari Crashes).

So now i am not sure if meanwhile there is a EFI for AMD released or if i have to use patched kexts and kernel...
