**SUCCESSFUL INSTALL**

i managed to install Leopard 10.5.8 on an Acer Extensa 5420-5687 Almost perfectly.

Working:

Wifi - Atheros and boradcom ( i have 2 exact laptops one with broadcom and the other atheros)

LAN

Keyboard

USB

Restart/Shutdown

Video (no QE/CI. Yes to native resolution) - With a special x1250 kext i found in one of the forums

Audio - ALC268 speakers, headphones and mic (choppy at first but after a com.apple.boot.plist entry, works perfect)

Software update

** Need 1.14 BIOS **

NOT WORKING:

Sleep

i used iDeneb 1.6 (10.5.8)

ill post a guide for this series and hopefully will help everyone struggling with. i couldnt get snow leopard to work on it but havent attempted too much. happy with leopard

let me know how you got video to native and the audio working please! I dont use my mac partition because the audio blows.. So if you can help it work thatd be AMAZING.

Cruzg10,

I installed Leopard (using iAtkos v7) on Toshiba A215 which has ALC268 audio. At the moment the audio is still choppy. What entry did you put in com.apple.boot.plist?

What kext do you use for your Atheros wifi (mine's AR5007EG)?

Thank you for your help!

Good News for ATI Express 1250 users:

x1250 set to native resolution using Leopard RadeonHD.kext Thanks to dong who developed this kext, and to seabistie who pointed me this link on his post.

Still no QE/CI though.

Some modification maybe needed in RadeonHD.kext/Contents/Info.plist, read the [FAQ].

For Toshiba A215-S5818, check the Info.plist to make sure "BackLightLevel" set to '0' and "EnableHWCursor" set 'false'

:) Finally some improvement after weeks trying....!
