3. Samsung R Series Notebooks

Which OSX? Are you using iAtkos or Retail? And what did you do to boot into the installer, -x? Kexts? What did you do in your BIOS?
4. Samsung R Series Notebooks

Good to know someone is working on my model lol.
5. Samsung R Series Notebooks

Got close but didn't work. My BIOS settings are probably not configured right and/or maybe we have a different BIOS. More help is appreciated. I've tried nawcom and ##### now with ##### getting close.
6. Samsung R Series Notebooks

Ok I used the nawcom CD. Then I popped in the Snow Leopard Install DVD (Retail) and hit enter. The computer just restarted after a few seconds of loading. Am I missing something? AHCI is set to manual (enabled).
7. Samsung R Series Notebooks

Link to wiki? Did you use the retail Snow Leopard DVD bought from any Apple store?
8. Samsung R Series Notebooks

Which method should I go about doing it your way? I've done other ways before on other computers but this seems by far like it could be the simplest setup. I have the retail Snow Leopard disc they were selling about a year ago.
9. Samsung R Series Notebooks

So have we found out if Retail Snow Leopard can be installed on the R530? I have i3 2.26Ghz with the GeForce 310M. Great laptop. Would really be sweet if I could get Snow Leopard on it.
10. let me know how you got video to native and the audio working please! I dont use my mac partition because the audio blows.. So if you can help it work thatd be AMAZING.
11. Radeon Xpress 1250

Has anyone found kexts or anything for this yet? Every workaround I've tried corrupts my OS X and I have to reinstall.

13. I have gotten WiFi to work and I have tried everything imaginable searching the net and this forum for 6 hours trying to get ethernet working. I am it the Ethernet: Self-Assigned IP stage. I can't seem to get any further. Please help. Hardware is: Marvell Yukon 88E8071
14. Broadcom bcm43xx wireless driver [beta]

Easy instant success! WiFi is good! Now for ethernet...
15. The BIOS update or "downgrade" from 1.17 to 1.14 for me helped. I tried to boot with iDeneb 1.4 and got closer than ever. Booted perfectly into iDeneb 1.5 (10.5.7) ONLY with "kernel=Voodoo". No quotes. No -v -x -f -s -whatever. Just "kernel=Voodoo". It takes a few minutes to boot up, be patient and just wait on it. Install takes about 20-30 minutes to the internal hard drive, which I have partitioned and dual-booted. Works great with EasyBCD. I have Acer Extensa 5420-5038 with BIOS 1.14 and iDeneb 1.5. ALSO: REMOVE ALL devices plugged into your laptop: mouses, keyboards, monitors, etc. etc. Ethernet is ok. Install and boot was a success with all the kexts (drivers) between ALL posts on the 1st page of this thread. Can someone help with kexts for audio etc. for me? Voodoo Kernel Seatbelt Fix AppleATIATA under chipset Only install with these 3. Got audio to work with ALC268_Installer2, but choppy just like everyone else said. WiFi works. Using bcm43xx_enabler_0.5.3.sh Ethernet, getting close. External keyboards and mouses that I have hooked up work immediately and the laptop keyboard works and is programmed almost the exact same like it works in Vista. Touchpad mouse works, no Mac scrolling or anything though. But it has left click and right click and moves. Good luck!
