AWhiteFlame
Hello all. Currently I have a 10.4.1 installation on my hard disk (no other partitions) for an old notebook of mine which I found that happened to be intel (but its an older celeron, so still only SSE2). On my 10.4.1 installation I have to run -x and platform=X86PC for it to boot, but with the 10.4.3 installation with any combination of platform and -x it will not boot. I've left it on for quite some time and I'm not getting any "still waiting for root device" message. Here is the output I'm getting. USBF: 51.910 AppleUSBOHCI[0x1594000]::start OHCI controller will be unloaded across sleep IOPCCard info: Intel PCIC probe: IOPCCard notice: Bad bridge mapping at 0x000a0000! not found. IOPCCardBridge::start failed! ApplePS2Trackpad: Synaptics Touchpad v5.0 USBF: 52.157 [0x16a3600] USB Generic Hub @ 1 (0x2000000) VGA: family specific matching fails Ive tried the following startup parameters: "Graphics Mode"="1280X1024X16" platform=ACPI -v -x "Graphics Mode"="1280X1024X16" platform=X86PC -v -x "Graphics Mode"="1280X1024X16" platform=X86PC -v "Graphics Mode"="1280X1024X16" platform=ACPI -v I've looked around for IOPCCardBridge errors but I've not found much. They all say to disable ACPI with X86PC, and that works on my 10.4.1 installation, but not this DVD. Any ideas? Your help is much appricated. Thank you (Oh, and sidenote, it says that this ISO is "Mac OSX x86 10.4.3 build 8f1111 patched with Wesley's patch", if that helps.) AWhiteFlame
With nothing else to try, I took an unpatched dmg, converted to iso and patched myself and still this is coming up. Should I search for an 8f1099 build or is this most likely not going to work on anything but 10.4.1? Thanks.
