Alright so i would appreciate any input any of you guys could give me. First I will lists the steps of my install.

I had an external 250gb USB hard drive. It was formatted with NTFS and I've been using it to store files. I decided I was going to see if I could boot OS X on the drive. So in Windows I resized the partition and then I went into Disk Director Suite and formatted the partition as a Primary, Active, Fat32 partition. I then proceeded to go through the OS X install. I formatted it HFS+ and let the install finish. I then tried to boot the partition on the external drive and when I select it under boot options it loads up and then nothing happens. I see my computer start up as normal and it gets to the part where it sees all of my drives and stuff, but it does not boot. I don't get any errors at all it just doesn't boot. Anybody have any ideas?

My hardware setup is as follows:

Jas 10.4.8 Install DVD

ASUS A8N5X NForce4 Motherboard

AMD Athlon 3200+ 2.1ghz Socket 939

Seagate 250gb FreeAgent USB 2.0 drive

80gb EIDE Western Digital

Sony DVDRW
