Da11y
Hello. I just needed some quick advice. I've got Leopard installed on my Vaio and wanted to run windows in VMWare Fusion for some specific programs I need. I just wanted to ask would it be better to go with XP or Vista. I installed XP yesterday on VMWare and it seemed a bit sluggish. My specs are : Intel Core Duo 2.0GHZ 4GB Ram Intel GMA 950/Nvidia GeForce go 7400 Also is it possible to actually play games smoothly through VMWare and can I install my own drivers, instead of VMWare doing it automatically? Thx in advance
Shrimp
If it seems *sluggish* you definitely do not want to go with Vista, that will only make it worse. As for games, you can't play any of them in vmware unless they're years old, sorry. And install vmware tools, it will put in the drivers. Vmware doesn't use the drivers that your system does, you cannot share any system hardware with it aside from your processor, disk space, memory and of course external devices. Does that mean there's no need for me to install my Nvidia Drivers and Intel GMA 950 drivers. This is a shame because then I can't take advantage of the hardware that i've got.
