Heimaterde
Hi together, I have the following hardware installed. AUSU P5N-E SLI GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB 1 SATA Disk 2 GB RAM When I boot from the 10.4.8 CD, the system cannot find the SATA disk during the fist installation steps. I get the message “Waiting for root device” in the logs on my screen. When I’m put the IDE Disk on my motherboard the installation will go on. I am quit sure this is a configuration issue on my Phoenix BIOS but I can’t find the issue. Is anyone here who can explain me the right BIOS configuration and settings to install the OS on my SATA disk? THX in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83357-no-sata-disk-found-during-the-installation/ Share on other sites
jaredh
I also have Phoenix BIOS on my hp, and I've spent hours trying to alter/change/find settings for my SATA disk. No such luck. Everyone that I have spoken with has told me that you cannot do those things with Phoenix BIOS. I'm pretty disappointed Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83357-no-sata-disk-found-during-the-installation/#findComment-592523 Share on other sites
