krackato
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and ECS G31t-M - $279 at Fry's http://shopping.dallasnews.com/ROP/ads.aspx?advid=2519 Not sure if this motherboard would work, but it seemed like a good deal and I couldn't find any info on the board on the forum. Synaesthesia
Well, I wouldn't recommend that motherboard at all, it only works with one core. The Q6600 has dropped in price to $199, and you can get one of many other perfectly compatible motherboards with the remaining $80. Zaap
Currently that ad reads $159 for the E8400 and same ECS motherboard- a great price just for the E8400 by itself. The ECS board is practically useless for Hackintosh use- the one core problem just sucks, unless someone's created a hacked BIOS by now. Just get the processor, and use the (basically free) mobo for a nice Linux NAS box or something.
