localhost_ro Posted January 22, 2008 Share Posted January 22, 2008 ok, tried installing all (i think) the 10.5.1 distros. the one that finishes the install properly and reboots is iATKOS 1.0iR2. notebook config: hp 6720s, intel core 2 duo T5470 1.6 ghz, 1 gb ram, intel ich8, video intel x3100 (windows shows i965). install works properly, restarts. after reboot, i get a garbled display. (i selected the proper / x3100 display driver in the "customize" section of the installer.) the garbled display problem happens with both kernel options in the installer. need advice about how to proceed. p.s.: just bought the notebook, it resembled the macbook air tech specs a lot. what to to now? p.p.s: before garbling, the display shows the blue desktop, no mouse cursor, and then everything dims down, and i get a frame per 5 seconds garbled display. whchua2000 Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 I try my laptop Dell 1420 with x3100, the screen is blank on my screen after boot into leopard, i think iATKOS would not support x3100 video.
