McDead Posted January 22, 2008 Share Posted January 22, 2008 Hi I want to share my experiences with my new bought Gigabyte M68SM-S2. I bought a few components a while ago and now tried to install Leo. After a few days I finally got most of the things working. Onboard-Lan and -Sata is still not working, but for me it was a big success to get sound to work. First the list of things I used to build my Hackintosh: Gigabyte M68SM-S2 (Nforce 6, Sound:ALC 888, LAN:RTL8211BL) Athlon X2 BE-2300 1 GB RAM Asus EN7300GT Silent 160 GB Samsung IDE Harddisk How I got it to work: First I installed Zephiroths AMD prepatched Leo. (with MBR on a 130GB Partition) The HDD was jumpered Slave and the DVD-Drive Master. After getting some panics and the problem, that the partition wasn't bootable i fount this. I used an adapter to change the GeForce*.kext and NV*.kext files as i was able to use my friends Mac. OK that gave me a working Leopard, but what is a sytem without sound? I made a codec dump in Linux (attached) and installed it with AppleHDA Patcher. First i installed AzaliaAudio.pkg Then i followed the guide from here and used the same ID's etc.. Now I have at least 2.0. So here I am with a well working Hackintosh. Next thing will be to get SATA to work and remove the 130GB limit from my HDD. If you have any own experiences with Nforce 6 Boards please post them. I have installed Kalyway 10.5.1 DVD without vanilla kernel (vanilla does not work on my nFocre). OSX starts up nice with cpus=1. Without any switches it start's up and then hang's up after minute... ( edit vendor id adress...etc.) Alc888 working some edited.. > 055C10de Realtek 8211bl not working searching, trying... with forcedeth & r1000 & ... r1000 with+vendor id not ok >macadress FF:FF: ...... Forcedeth ok i see working but not have internet I need a help for RTL8211BL.
