yangj08
When my Mac starts up, it freezes during the boot process. When starting in verbose, I get a "Warning: completing zero-block transter" flashing down my screen multiple times. When using safe mode, it tells me that both mach and mach.sym are smaller than they should be (mach is 0 blocks, mach.sym is 48 blocks), then tells me that the drive could not be repaired, then shuts down. What's going on? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/82753-boot-error/ Share on other sites

yangj08
I guess so. Well, time to move up to Leopard. Cautionary note- I think I know what's going on now. Turns out it's a MacDrive problem- I tried moving some files from my Windows partition into my Mac partition and the two files (and a bunch of folders, including System and Users) disappeared completely. The last thing I did before this happened was that I downloaded a Mac game directly into the root of my Mac partition through Firefox.
