pdek
Running Leopard 10.5.1 on IBM Thinkpad. Everything works great except i am trying to get the battery icon to show up on the bar. I found the Powermanagement bundle from here that I am supposed to drag and drop this bundle in '/System/Library/SystemConfiguration' and overwrite the old one. When I try to do this, a warning box comes out saying that this folder cannot be modified. It keeps going, asks for my password (i am the only user and also the administrator) and then says i dont have priveleges. anyone have any suggestions? basically i am trying to get the battery icon in the upper right corner for this laptop. this seeemed like the easiest thing to do but is not working. any other ideas? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/82720-cant-modify-systemconfiguration/ Share on other sites
impulsion
delete the old one first then copy the new one to the folder! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/82720-cant-modify-systemconfiguration/#findComment-586979 Share on other sites
iScott
Right click on the folder and select "get info". Click on the "sharing and Permissions" tab and click on the lock and give password, then make all "Read & Write" and then click on the + and add yourself with read write.
