bestman50 Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 Looking for Acer users to share info on what works for you on Tiger and Leopard, I have the 5673WMLi running OSX 10.4.11 and XP. I have ATI x1400 working with EQ/Core with minor mouse tearing. Changed my wi-fi card to Dell 1490 but not working something to do with the kill switch. I even removed pins 11, 13, and 20, kill switch still working on the XP boot. Power manager not showing battery usage,but show an X if the barrery is removed, won't sleep, I just use FN and TV out key to turn off screen when just listening to music no sleep mode. PICMIA card not working have not tried to fix it yet. Audio working with AzaliaAudio.pkg. DVD and front row are working and able to burn to DVD. I also have a copy of Kalyways 10.5.1 but hoping some one can get Both cores to work on intel core dual before installing it. Reveeen Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 Acer Veriton 7200: Shoved in a FX5200 video card, and upped the ram to 512m, used the XxX release (Mac OSx 10.4.11). (not enough ram, and not enough processor, but it does work well considering I rescued it from a dumpster) http://www.acersupport.com/desktop/html/v7200_specs.html Native Mac OS install, everything working first shot, it sleeps, but will not hibernate, hibernate causes a fault somewhere that triggers shut down. System speed limited by SDRAM, I do have a mobile Celeron that I might try in a couple of weeks (though I may have to hack the bios to do so), we'll see.
