oleaaj Posted January 19, 2008 Share Posted January 19, 2008 Hello I have a problem with Ac97 audio on my 10.4.10. It works perfectly when I use osx to or more times in a row. But if I use Ubuntu or windows inbetween, audio will dissapear (no audio output device) until I reboot osx. Is there a way to keep the audio even if I use windows or ubuntu from time to time? What would be the reason for this behavior? Could it have something to do with permissions? And another thing: I am currently booting with Grub. When I choose osx from the boot menu, Darwin comes and asks me from wich startupvolume I want to boot. Is there anyway to bypass Darwin? Thanks for your help in advance! Lactobacillus P Posted March 3, 2008 Share Posted March 3, 2008 Same here, It seems to have something to do with the audio-out jack changing from Out to Line-in on my Asus P4P800 AC97 audio. Any solutions out there, like manually setting the output jack?
