enix3k
i got OSX x86 iso from the net and i want to install it on my second laptop which is a PC i got from school (HP6510b). Specs as follows: Core2Duo 1.83GHz 2GB RAM 80GB HDD (14GB for XP, the rest is gonna be for OSX). DVD Burner GMA3100 Is it going to work with 10.4.11? Because i can't find Leopard so im stuck with this version. I do already have a real Mac (MacBook) but i hate to use the Windows environment on the second laptop and want to play with OSX on it. My next question is, is it going to work with the GMA3100? Audio? Networking? And most important, how do i dualboot XP and OSX? Because i still need a few apps that is "Windows-only" for school. urgonah8me
everything you have answered are in the forum, try searching the stuff and you will know otherwise prepare to be slated by most people here for not looking I have 10.4.8 on something simular to your specs.. well the processor and ram (check my sig) and you havnt said what audio you have or what lan it is... (most likely your lan isnt gonna work so prepare to buy a usb adapter for wireless) My laptop runs tiger almost pefectly..infact the only thing that doesnt work on it is sleep mode... but everything else is superb.. (oh except the inbuilt laptops wireless isnt compatable so i use a belkin usb adapter) but i can deal with that leopard works on it also.. but i had some issues with usb sometimes.. and it took me so long to get it running without needing a dvd to boot it.. oh and to turn it off i had to hold the power button for 5 seconds because it wouldnt shut off correctly and could potentialy burn my laptop (if i didnt realise it wasnt turning off correctly then stuffed it in a bag to fry) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/82464-is-this-the-right-version-for-my-pc-laptop/#findComment-585533 Share on other sites
