Ol!ver
I am attempting the following part of a guide....... 4. Hit WINDOWS BUTTON + R and type ‘diskpart’ (without quotes) 5. Type in (press enter after you typed in a line): list disk select disk [the number of your disk] create partition primary id=af list partition select partition [the number of your new osx partition] active (if this doesn’t work, try ’set active’ without quotes) The problem is I then get an error saying there isn't sufficient space, dispite there being 10gb of it. Any ideas why? Cheers
Ol!ver
This drive already has a primary partition as it is the one that windows is installed on. Is the problem that you cant have two primary partitions on one disk?
Bauer418
There is most likely no free space left in your HD. Open your Start Menu -> right click on Computer -> select Manage Run that disk utility (should be the last option in the left panel) Select your Windows volume, right click, and select shrink volume Give yourself however much space you want for OS X Run the commands you said above Side note: OS X 10.5 is a 5GB install...running it on a 10GB drive will be a {censored} of a squeeze

The problem was for some reason it wasn't actually releasing the space when I resized/deleted a partition. I had two extended partitions and a primary one. Both extended needed to be merged before I could get anywhere. All sorted now though and I'm using OSX now Cheers
