jdxxx Posted January 31, 2006 Share Posted January 31, 2006 With a perfectly working 8f1111g install (Jas patch), install of iLife 06 (universal) crashed the system. At every boot I get a restart screen error. Has anyone else encountered this? jdxxx Posted January 31, 2006 Author Share Posted January 31, 2006 Using p4ht, sse2, Jas4.2b patch (Dell 8300) After install of iLife ACPI was crashing on intialization of cpu1. I did a second install on a clean image, same thing happened. Turned off HT, and it booted. After booting once with HT off, restarted with HT on again, and there was no problem. Something in the install played with ACPI initialization, but fixed itself with the reboot. Another mystery. After I got it working, everything in iLife seems to be functioning. iTunes, with the developer expire message, was repaired with the new install.
