Without hardrive its like 270. rhalls Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 THe results are normal. But: 1.) It depends on the Harddrive you use. In my experience, WD AAKS drives are fast. Setting up a Raid 0 (Software) with 2 AAKS results in a disk score of 142 here. 2.) XBench is not really a good bench tool. So dont believe too much what it tells. BJMoose Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 Yes, it's not unusual to get some less than attractive numbers especially on the random benchmarks. As rhalls said, don't put too much stock in them. From personal experience, I don't think the drive speed numbers in and of themselves represent a lot in the real world. I've got a Maxtor Diamond drive that gets a total Disk Test score of 119. Then I've got a WD Raptor 10K RPM drive that only scores in the 60's. In real life, the WD drive is noticeably faster.
