I've installed using iAtkos 1.0 r2 DVD on Sony VGN CR11Z - specs here All went fine ie. sound works, internet thru ralink usb device (no intel wireless drivers), SATA etc ok I know that x2xx ATI cards aren't really supported but I'm not to bothered about QE at the moment as I'm dual booting with Vista so Vesa/Vga (whatever!) is fine. Anyway when I boot normally (-v) it hangs when loginwindow.app is loaded and says 'Login Window Application Started'. If I safe-boot (-x) then it boots up fine (and yes i suppose I could do this everytime for my intended use but I'd rather fix it!). The most similar issue I've seen is here but it's dated 2005! I've tried deleting all the ATI kexts to no avail, I've also tried swaping loginwindow.app from 5.1 to 4.5.1 from the Uphuck 1.4r3 Tiger DVD - and again no luck. Any ideas??! Ta in advance I have the exact same thing going on on my sse2 Acer Travelmate 292LMi which is running 10.4.9 JaS just fine. Safe boot doesn't give me a GUI though.
