KD4GTS
ok... I give up. Need assistance. I'm trying to install the Kalyway Leopard 10.5 and I am constantly getting panic errors and constant reboots. I've tried most of the options posted in other forum topics with no sucess. I am trying to install on the following hardware: MSI P6N Platnium MB Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 processor 4 GB DDR2 (4x 1 Gig) 500 GB SATA II MSI NVidia 8600 GTS OC I have attached a screenshot of the error before the reboot. Nuifrkns
Are you getting reboots when trying to install (boot) from the Kalyway DVD? This is what I got as well, and my solution was toss the DVD and download / install iAtkos. In case you successfully installed Kalyway and now boot from HD, it seems that it crashes on something EFI related. The EFI emulator will only work with Core 2 Duo processors I believe. In case you have an 'old' SSE2 processor (as I do), install with the 'Darwin bootloader' option and not the 'EFI bootloader' option (Not sure exactly how these options show up in the Kalyway install DVD, I never got that far with that release...). (Edit: you have an o.k. board/CPU for EFI, so that should be o.k....)
KD4GTS
The panic/rebooting is occuring when I install on a clean HD setup. Downloading IAtkos v1.0 now... May be a day or two since Comcast is throttling down torrents...
Nuifrkns
O.k., So, the panic is after you try to boot from the Kalyway DVD? Some people where successfull after reburning a DVD at lower speed. Otherwise iAtkos may be better...
KD4GTS
Got iAtkos burned. Got to figure out why it is locking up on the blue screen with a beachball when installing...
