Hi Guys,

I have my system running nice for the time being.

I have an issue though, my system won't boot if the DVD is not in the drive.

UpHuck 1.4i

10.4.9

Intel D945GTP

Pentium D 915

3GB DDR2 667

80GB SATAII

Is there anything that I need it to do with out having to boot with the DVD every time¿

You can in terminal, but I don't know em. Just burn Gparted to a cd, boot off it, select auto config. It will take you to the GUI, and will load Gparted. Select which hardrive/partition. Right click on the partiton.Manage flags. Put a boot flag. If there is one like I told you: Take the flag off. Restart Gparted and put it back. Hope it helps.

My problem's similar to this. I can't boot into Mac OS without the DVD. However, my problem may be a little different. I use the Windows XP bootloader and chain0. It boots into Windows just fine, but when I try to boot into Mac I get a "chain booting error". With the DVD, I let the installation prompt time out and it boots from my hard drive just fine. Any idea what's wrong?
