I currently have my ide-dvd drive in the comp i want to install osx to. Im using the Kalyway 10.5.1 disk.

With the ide dvd drive I can launch fine, install fine. However, there doesnt seem to be anything installed on the SATA HDD, at least Gparted doesn't say any data is on the partition. Basically, do I need to plug my SATA DVD drive from my 2nd comp in? Should it then install properly and write the OS to the drive then?

Do i need these settings?

change "SATA RAID/AHCI Mode" to "AHCI".

change "SATA Port0-3 Native Mode" to "Enabled".

change "onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode" to "AHCI".

Do i need to have both SATA HDD and SATA DVD on the orange ports with jmicron disabled?

Hope you can help me. Thanks
