Unkwntech
I just installed 10.3 on my G3(blue&white) and when I boot the resolution or the frequency is to far out of alignment for my LCD to display, all i get is the error "Signal Out Of Range". How can I adjust the display settings without being able to boot to the desktop.
consolation
If you can boot into single user edit com.apple.Boot.plist, otherwise plug a crt in, set the resolution and refresh and then plug in the LCD.

Unkwntech
how do I boot to single user mode? and where is com.apple.Boot.plist I was not able to figure out how to boot to single user mode however, I attached the HD to a USB enclosure and plugged it into my PC, via TransMac I was able to navigate to the /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder, however there is no com.apple.Boot.plist. I'm not 100% sure that this is the correct location, but this is what I've found on Google. Also to clarify(IDK if this could be the cause) thus far I have booted to the 10.3 CD-Roms and installed, but on reboot (Before the final setup, and after the files are copied and installed), this is when I am encountering the problem, In a few hours (after some sleep, I hope), I'm going to work and we have a couple of CRTs there, I'm going to try and attach one to see if I can boot that way. I am familiar with Unix/Linux systems, as well as having some experience with the BSD shell in OSX, so if shell work is needed I should be fine (I am a Linux server admin, Debian to be exact). I will post back tonight after work weather or not the CRT works.
consolation
Steps to Enter Single-User or Verbose Mode 1. Shut down the computer if it is on. 2. Press the power button to start the computer. 3. Immediately press and hold the Command (Apple) key and one of the following: the "s" key for single-user mode. the "v" key for verbose mode. 4. To exit single-user mode type: reboot 5. Press Return. then it's your basic *nix style shell once you mount the file system
Unkwntech
I appreciate you help, as per another website I found about an hour or so ago on page 92 of google, I was able to resolve this issue by resting my prom Command-Option-P-R (Win-ALT-P-R on my windows KB).
