tpmwr
I have been searching this forum and trying things for 3 days now. Most solution cripple my Leopard. I have a T42 with a Radeon Mobility 9600 (4e50) and I am trying to make it support both 1400x1050 and maybe even the transparent title bar. There must be a way to convert the existing Callisto drivers available for Tiger to work on Leopard. -Anthony P.S. Apparently some people have PowerBook G4s with Radeon Mobility 9600s installed and they work with Leopard by default. Apparently they also have the translucent Menu Bar. tpmwr
This is killing me x.x This can't be that hard to do. There are PowerBooks out there with this card. They even have the same DevID. How are they running the card but I can get it to work?

Korrupted
It's hard on x86 because the AtiRadeon9700 kext is compiled for PPC. Thus, that pretty much eliminates hopes of QE/CI on old cards.
Hyper X
It's a dead end sorry... the Pre X1000 series cards will no long work... alot of work has been done but it has hit a dead end. Sorry but no QE/CI is possible. Though you can set the res with a simple boot.plist modification. You will never have acceleration outside vesa 3...
