alucard_xs
Hi, I finally managed to get it to work, I use the IATKOSi R2 release, and after the install, I use the Kalway DVD, and Leopard worked BUT without audio, no internet connection, resolution 1024*768 and shutdown is not working. I did a reboot on my computer and now I can't boot leopard anymore, it happens everytime, the first boot after install is ok but others are not, I 've got the 'you have to reboot your computer' screen ... Why ? By the way, is there a way to fix the shutdown error, the resolution, audio and finally the internet ? 8800 GT 512 Eternet -> realtek 8168/8111 (on my motherboard p35c-ds3R) AUDIO : HD realtek High definition audio. using a patch maybe ? Thanks for helping Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79810-it-works-but-only-one-time-after-installing/ Share on other sites

Thanks for helping try it with the install dvd in it and do nothing, just wait. if it boots then u need to make the leopard partition active, many threads here on howto. for the audio install azaliaaudio, it is included with the iatkos and kaylway dvds, and the driver for the ethernet are also on both DVDs (when u install hit customize install or something, and u can enable these. for your videocard are also drivers with both dvds, id give the drivers called NVinject a try. Good luck! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79810-it-works-but-only-one-time-after-installing/#findComment-565603 Share on other sites

One of those drivers did you in. Now you can boot to desktop. It's easy fix if you don't mind some basically terminal command. Basically delete all video card driver you installed from Kalyway DVD.try it with the install dvd in it and do nothing, just wait.if it boots then u need to make the leopard partition active, many threads here on howto.for the audio install azaliaaudio, it is included with the iatkos and kaylway dvds, and the driver for the ethernet are also on both DVDs (when u install hit customize install or something, and u can enable these.for your videocard are also drivers with both dvds, id give the drivers called NVinject a try.Good luck! His partition is active, otherwise it would give him a partition error. He booted it up to grey apple then was asked to restart. It's a typical video card driver issue. Remove all third party driver or patch and he should be able to revert to original state, which he can boot up but no resolution change nor CI/QE. 8800 GT should not use Kalyway repacked driver. Only thing fully support that card is 10.5.2 GeForce Kext with OpenGL Platform with device ID manually added it. For Lan, he can use the official driver on Realtek site but it has some glitches (namely P2P client shuts down internet connection). Good luck. alucard_xs
ok I really hope it will work, but i'm still a noob, what are the command lines to insert in the terminal to delete the wrong files ? What I did : Install Leopard from Iatkos ir2 Run leopard version with the Kalway DVD in. ------- "Only thing fully support that card is 10.5.2 GeForce Kext with OpenGL Platform with device ID manually added it. " -> omg, I really don't know the Mac world, I installed the Geforce Kext and put it in mu USB key but how does it work ? like a .exe on a pc ? Just need to double click on it under leopard ? For my LAN, I downloaded the drivers (the right ones I hope) but, the same question, how can I install them ? A step-by-step would be welcome By the way thanks for your answers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79810-it-works-but-only-one-time-after-installing/#findComment-565757 Share on other sites

wigworm
Given your comfort level with all this, you better steer away from terminal command for now. Faster way would be reinstall iATKOS without selecting any drivers. Once you boot up, go under system profiler and under graphic and find your device id. Plug in your USB. Leopard will recognize it automatically. For graphic driver: Download stuffit to unzip the kext package. Download Plist Pro for Kext editing. Download Kexthelper (find it in this forum for easy drag and drop kext installation). Download GeForce 10.5.2 kext package and 10.5.2 OpenGL Framework package. There should be an instruction in this forum for adding device id for 8800 GT in GeForce 10.5.2 kext package. Follow that instruction to add the device id in various kext file in that package. Drag and drop all of them to kexthelper (credit goes to Delish who made this wonderful tool) and type in your admin password and let it install for you. Installing OpenGL framework is easy as drag and drop to the folder system/library/frameworks and replace the old one. Installing LAN driver by clicking the installation package and follow the on screen instruction. Installing Audio driver by drag and drop your Linux codec dump into AppleHDA patcher. Find both the linux codec dump for ALC888 (which I believe is what you have) and the AppleHDA patcher by searching the forum under keyword "AppleHDA". Or type in AppleHDA patcher in google will give you the link directly to that thread in this forum. Good luck. wigworm
Download them form Realtek website. Make sure download the driver for MAC os x, not the window ones.
