atanamir
Hi all,I'm trynig to install kalyway's 10.5.1 onto a dell vostro 1400 laptop. However, I can't get the installer to boot at all with any combination of options. I've tried the platform=x86pc, -x, (all with -v), but none of them gets past the first few lines of the darwin boot. I get a kernel panic after "IOAPIC : Version 0x20 Vectors 0:23". The panic is about "ACPI: AcpiOsFree"@/Volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu/xnu-1220/iokit/Kernel/IOlib.cpp:724"... (hex stuff)com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatformI've turned off the flash cache module in bios, as well as switched the SATA to ATA mode instead of AHCI. Anyone have any suggestions? 10.4.9 uphuck didnt' boot etiher; the same panic. Is hits a problem common to dells? I noticed that my older dell p4 system also has this exact panic.Any help is appreciated!atanamirOh, my specs are a core 2 duo cpu, with intel 965 chipset (i'm guessing x3100 video card), 2 gb ram, dell wireless (broadcom chipset), broadcom 57xx lanThanks! iScott
What program did you use to burn it? Sometimes you have to set it to Read/Write instead of compressed.
kristoff
I couldn't get Kalyway to boot either. I have iATKOS working beautifully on my Dell Vostro 1700, however. Here is the thread detailing my install: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=79526 Hope that helps!
