wigworm
After searching the web for a possible solution to this problem, I came upon a slew of posts from many MAC (not only hackintosh) users reporting the same problem: after upgrading to Leopard, their MAC can't be soft shut down completely. To shut down completely, one has to press and hold the power button. Has anyone found a real solution for this problem yet? I personally believe that it has something to do with one of the CPU core is still communicating with some of the components (be it USB/PCI/Firewire ... devies) and just wouldn't let go. In Tiger, the devices are terminated by force, therefore, less spotty shutdown than Leopard. KellyKelly
if you have a firewire hard drive mounted, then you can shut down completely. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79615-leopard-shut-down-problems/#findComment-593173 Share on other sites
