Hi all,

I've got a gateway 450sx4 that I recently installed 10.4.8 on because I was pretty sure the install would work resonably well...and it did.

I'm not sure if Leopard will work on it...but I think I'd at least like to try (unless the video card is so horrible that it will never work) so I was looking at this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=73952 and was thinking of doing a guid partition so that I can keep my working tiger install and then try out a leopard install on the same disk.

I'm pretty sure I understand how to create the guid partition but what I don't understand is how to boot into each seperate partition. I don't want to install leopard and then find out I can't get back into tiger...so do I do this? Do I need a bootloader?

Also, is that guide a good one and is EFI needed like they say. Or should I just do a guid partition and then follow this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=77069

Thanks for any help,

Matt

Can anyone just tell me if I will be able to boot into tiger as well as leopard if I follow the Guid Partition EFI Guide and then Install Kalyway?

I currently have tiger on my laptop working but would like to split the current drive into two partitions and then try installing leopard...if I follow this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=73952 will I still be able to boot back into tiger if the kalyway leo install does not work?

Thanks,

matt
