Hey everyone

Im new here and to macs in general though I have worked on them at school. I'm looking to hook up my macbook pro to some MIDI footpedals and use them live on stage with my band a la Geddy Lee from rush. I know I need a USB midi controller cable, which is about 50 bucks, but I'm wondering what the best software would be to use. I managed to get my hands on some Native Instruments programs that sound good, but I'd like to be able to switch between programs and sounds easily and I have no idea what to do. Anyone with any advice or experiance in using a laptop onstage via MIDI, please post. thanks

That looks like its right up my alley, couple questions i couldnt figure out though...

Is this program independant of Logic? Do you also need logic to run it? Or is it possible to just use mainstage to switch between, for example, different Native Instruments programs like B4 and Pro53?
