mtotho
ok, i succesfully installed osx on my 500gb hardrive that i formatted as fat32.... the problem was that it was only detected as 128gb leopard and in the installer. Also after i could not see any other drives or partitions on my computer in leopard. I then deleted everything off that hardrive and created a 25gb partition.. installed xp.. then i created another 25gb partition using the id=af method. It didnt show up in the installer at all. I created a 25gb fat32.. but it showed up as 128gb. Could someone tell me what is wrong here. I have an asus pb5 vm se with intel chipsets. I have sata dvd and hd. Thanks edit: right now i have 2 hardrives in, both sata. One has three partitions... xp..a data... and id=af mac partition which is active. On the second partiton i have a data, an id=af part, and a fat32 partition (fat32 is active). In the leopard installer in disk utility, it shows both hardrive... but with 128.0gb next to both. Under the first drive it shows my windows xp and data, and the second it just shows data. Not any of the partitions i made for leopard. My problem is why the drives show up as 128gb and why the leopard partitions dont show up. BJMoose
What settings are you using in your bios for your drives? Those nforce chipsets can be a bear to set up properly for osx86. Try playing around with the bios settings (sata, ahci, ide etc) to see if a change will enable the full amount of disk space on your drives. Heimdall-brz
I had the same problem. Do you have an extended partition? In my case after downloading and trying every disk partitioning tool I could find I tried to convert the extended partition to a logical one and it worked! Now I'm stucked at the do you own a mac screen Hope you find it useful.
