Slayte
I was wondering if it's possible to put a password on a folder, so that each time I try to access that folder I need to put in a password? Is there something inbuilt I can use, or do I need to download an external program of some sort?
Proteo
There is no such feature built-in, however you can enable FileVault, which will encrypt your entire user's folder, making it inaccesible to other users. Or my preferred method, which is creating an encrypted read/write disk image using Disk Utility. You'll need to enter a password to mount it, and you can handle just like any removable device (add, edit, delete files, just make it big enough to hold your future data), so it is a very secure and convenient way to keep things out of curious eyes. Colonel
Just make an encrypted DMG and put the files you want locked up inside it.
