I have successfully running leopard 10.5.1 on my Asus P5k with iATKOS. It's working fine after I update patches from Apple. What I did is connect my DVD ROM to sata first. Run installation process, then connect DVD ROM to JMicron sata port (which is separately from other 4 sata port) I did this because the Leopard only recognize only 2 sata. So, now I can connect 2 sata hard disk to sata port and DVD ROM on JMicron port which I set as ide in the bios.

* sound - working.

* network - working with Intel network card

* update from Apple - working

* all other software working great.

* running XP on parallels

So you can't boot up your installation DVD.

What kind of DVD rom you are using? Which port is it connected to? (SATA or PATA?) As someone mentioned earlier that Leopard doesn't recognize the last 2 SATA ports on Intel ICH9 chipset. But I doubt this is your problem since you can't even load the installation.

Regardless, I think most likely your DVD wasn't burnt properly. Burn it at the slowest speed to ensure success.

Hey it can Boot ''sort of'' but he never get's to the installation part. i get a black screen with this text on it:

System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found

The only thing i can do is press F8 but even after that i don't can start the installation...

I burned it 3 times, and every times i get the same problem.

I got a old harddisk, the PATA one i think they call it, and one dvd-rom(burner)

I also now got a External Dvd-rom(burner) but don't know how to to use that one for the booting.

You probably downloaded a bad copy of the installation image?

Hey it worked, because i borrowed a External dvd-rom.

But :P now I have a new problem, after the installation, the computer restarts, and after the restart there comes a grey screen, with the apple logo on it.

And there it stucks, I waited 20minutes, but it just stucks.

I'm having xacli the same problem as well. Been having it since 2 days and stil hav found no soloution to it :)

I have it, because I have been busy the whole day with it, first downgrading from vista to xp, then tryed from xp to leopard, but it didnt worked, so tryed it again, but still didnt worked, so now I'm back to XP

The weird thing is thou I'm having the problem on a fresh HDD.

There's no windos installed at all. I wonder what the problem could be.

I've messed around with the settings in customize and still no progress.
