strangedaze
So now that I'm running Kalyways Leopard install with EFI and Vanilla, Can I update with Apple Update and not worry about a thing ? Everything else works completely fine and the only extra driver I have is a NVinject and audio. Thanks in advance for any response, SD.

BJMoose
Yes, I have a similar setup and you should be able to safely download and install everything. Like you, I only added dsmos and nvinject to my retail disk install.

BJMoose
I've just ordered a 7950gt and 8gb of 800mhz ram for my quad system. How do you like your 30" Dell monitor. Does it compare favorably to the Apple 30" monitor?
Brywalker
Hey BJ, not to threadjack... I have 8GB here and I have to say I haven't noticed a significant increase in speed. If you are getting on the cheap (nice G.Skill stuff out there) go for it, otherwise I would probably pass... G.Skill

It's not so much about speed as it is the ability to render video in real time in FCS2. I have 12gb in my mac pro and rendering was dramatically improved over 4gb.
