First my configuration:

Mobo Asus P5LD2-VM

Core 2 Duo E6400

GeForce 7600 GT

HD SATA2, DVD-RW SATA and 2 HD IDE

So i tried the kalyway installation disk twice: both time i selected vanilla kernel, Nvidia video desktop drivers, HDA882 sound drivers.

First time i selected the EFI-MBR (to keep my Windows XP partition, install Leopard on an empy partition and do not format all my SATA HD) but it stopped when "about a minute" message was displayed. I waited about 1 hour but nothing appered. Today i decided to format all my SATA HD, so i created 1 partition HFS journaled and then i choosen GUID type disk. As the configuration obviously i selected EFI-GUID: the installation went more quickly but as message "about a minute" appeared it stopped. This time i waited for more than an hour, but nothing changed.

Someone have any idea? I don't think my hardware is wrong.

TYA

the obvious thing to do first is deselect things that are not neccesary to get leopard installed, gfx, sound etc.
