mingistech
I'm attempting to install the iATKOS v1.0i R2 install. It loads up fine... under customize i'm selecting the SSE2/SSE3 Option... because I have a P4 and need the SSE2 option. I'm also adding the DarwinBoot option instead of EFI. The installation finishes... but upon reboot after installation I keep getting a Kernel Panic. Does anyone have any advice? The reason I'm going with iATKOS is the Kalyway installer does a boot loop and won't allow installation. Any ideas about this issue? Plz help. einhornchen
We'll need to know what kernel panic you get. I just recently got iATKOS v3 working. I had driver problems so I built a tiger installation and made everything work, than simply used those drivers. After that, it gave me "nfs_boot_init" failure. Basically, I had to make my Leopard drive the primay drive on the primary channel. I have yet to try and put my other hard drives back on the channels, but I'll post to inform everyone if this is a permanant fix or not.I reconnected the rest of my hard drives in the following fashion:IDE0:0 - LeopardIDE0:1 - DVD DriveIDE1:0 - Windows XP ProIDE1:1 - Highly Modified TigerThe only boot problem I have is needing to use the DVD boot method (rd=disk0s1), but there are ways around that. Just finished installing leopard so now it's time to tweak it . Also, my NTFS disk doesnt seem to show up in leo yet, another driver problem i'm sure.To those who do not know what "IDE0:0 etc" means, you probably dont belong experimenting with osx86. But if you persist in trying to make it work, IDE0:x means the first channel or primary IDE cable in your computer. IDEx:0 would designate the first drive on IDE cable x.
