Q-man
I just installed build 8f1111 with the JaS patch (8f1111a) and realized it had the sse3 to sse2 patch on it. I have an AMD 64 3000+ Venice core processor, which has sse3 support. I want to run on sse3 not sse2. I tried installing the image from the dvd without the JaS patch, but it would not even boot to the cd. Is there any way to remove the sse3 to sse2 patch? Thanks! temis
when in osx86 you can use mach_kernel.orig and apply separate patch according to you cpu specs I think you need to apply at least CPUID ppf file maybe RTC ppf file (RTC = not sure, try CPUID only first) Before starting anything save patched mach_kernel to mach_kernel.42b so you can enter this kernel at boot prompt if something goes wrong EDIT: Removed content violating DMCA Edited February 17, 2006 by Metrogirl Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7840-1043-build-8f1111a-on-sse3/#findComment-49185 Share on other sites
