Nico3d3
I have Toh with pc_efi and OS X 10.5.1. I replaced the mach_kernel with the one i took on irc to solve the sleep problem. Also, I changed my BIOS setting to S3 only and I enabled this setting: "Post S3 video on resume". Now, when I put my pc on sleep, I am able to wake it up but I get a blinking screen and my desktop is at a really low resolution (I have an ATI X1600 with QE/CI enabled). Is there something else I need to do to get sleep working?
Nico3d3
Bump, there must be something I can do to enable sleep?
Megamixman
Sleep is random, for some it works, some it doesn't. It has to do with your ACPI DSDT Tables, which are not the same even if the chipset is the same. Basically, if your ACPI DSDT Table is similar to apple's ACPI DSDT Table, Sleep will work. Speedstep is still a complete mystery to me. I'm inclined to think its the same. Unfortunately for most laptops its not possible to tell if its in fact the OS controlling the speedstep or the BIOS, since most C2D based laptops have some level of bios speedstepping, although its FAR less aggressive then what the OSes generally do.
