iScott Posted December 27, 2007 Share Posted December 27, 2007 I installed Kalyway's 10.5.1 leopard, everything is working except for the sound. I have a sound blaster sound card, I know they don't work on a mac, but I also have onboard sound that I can use. What are the steps to get it to work. I have a Dell xps 400 with a Pentium D, I have no idea what the MoBo is. I know that isn't alot of info, but there has to be someone out there who knows. hazelh Posted December 28, 2007 Share Posted December 28, 2007 You really need to find out what sound chip(s) you have. there are lots of guides to get sound working, but they are all different depending on which chipset. Look at the dell data and it should say what the chip is, or you can look in the device manager in windows if you have that running on the hardware, or you might be able to just google it. once you have that; do a search here with the chipset id and you should have a good start.
