fuzzywasaduck2
I've been using this guide... http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=75863 I'm trying to install this EFI thing using a patching script called EFI.sh. I made my edits to the script (Disk0s2, Thumbdrive name etc) and I've checked and double checked my working here but after I "cd" my way to the relevant folder on my thumbdrive and type "./EFI.sh" I get this error: /bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory I assume this refers to the very first line: #!/bin/sh Not sure what the ^M bit is though - Any ideas why I might be getting this message? I've had it before on the brazil postpatch script - don't think I got round it then either HELP??
fuzzywasaduck2
I use Wordpad to edit the script - could that have anything to do with it???
fuzzywasaduck2
Solved: Yes, it was Wordpad!!!! It might be more readable in wordpad, but it did screw with the return characters There might be a way to get it to work where it doesn't monkey with them, but for safety I'll stick with notepad
