My OS X install sees my USB 2.0 ports in the system profiler, and appears to see my Adaptec Firewire card, but when I attach my external hard disk to either, OS X does not mount the drive... any ideas? yeah, thats me. pabster Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 My guess would be no Intel driver for the Adaptec FW card. "Seeing" the card isn't good enough, there needs to be a driver as well. thrunner Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Are you sure OSX will mount NTSF partitions on Firewire? assuming that is what you have. Try FAT32?
