I've got iATKOS v1.0iR2 installed and running pretty much perfectly now.

There's only two things I really don't like about it.

1. the Aurora wallpaper being left out (why?) - but that's easily fixed, and:

2. the damn cartoon viking and customised text in the About This Mac dialogue.

I'm sure this can easily be switched back to the standard stock Leopard version, but I don't have a clue which files to copy/swap to/from where on a different Leo install.

Someone must know this, it's probably a 2 second job.

HELP PLEASE, that viking is mocking me... ;)

Dude, where in that post does it say how to get rid of the iATKOS branding & silly viking logo??? You're just going on about getting the thing to show the right number of processors, it looks like. If the info I seek is in there, you've hidden it damn well....

Once you edit that doesn't yours go back to the default. Mine did.

Look at /System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/Resources/MacOSX.tif

Thanks. This should be useful when I get mine up and running.

Well editing the AboutThisMac.strings as you describe did nothing for me, but thanks for pointing out the TIFF.

Copying that over from a "fresh" Leo does indeed put the login-window & About This Mac image back how it should be.

It doesn't, though, change the *text* in the About This Mac box.

Anyone know where this is stored? This must be such a n00b question, but you don't know until you ask, etc...
