HI guys, i finally got OSX running nice on my dual core Opteron system. but Im worried about connecting to the net right now cause OSX might wanna call home. so im downloading stuff when i boot into windows, but how can i see my osx partition when in windows so i copy the files there and get back to it when in osx?

 

also are there any good programs that monitor internet connections of programs in osx?

you will need to use macdrive (for windows) or an fat32 partition. fat32 partitions limit the file size for each file to 4 gb.

I would go for the fat32.

 

Several people, including myself (twice), have lost whole partitions with Macdrive.

Not sure if it is due to multiple partitions, OSX86, just Macdrive or a combination of things.

 

Macdrive is not likely the culprit, but using it in a way not intended could be.

 

Remember, most programs are NOT written for x86 yet, so consider the system a test box. Keep everything backed up.

absolutly correct statement. fat32 is the best and easiest way to deal with.
