racerx123 Posted December 21, 2007 Share Posted December 21, 2007 GA P35-DS3P mobo. i just installed leopard using kalyway on one SATA HD turning AHCI on the ICH controllers. After successfully doing that, i try to install XP on another SATA HD and saw that it wouldnt work. So i kept AHCI on the ICH controller and turned on the gigabyte SATA controller. Windows still wouldnt install. So i turned off AHCI and windows installed fine. my question is.... how in the world am i supposed to dual boot without changing my bios settings every time? thoughts? i would think that i could just put the windows HD on the gigabyte controller and keep AHCI turned on the other one, after install.... but i've a feeling that wont work either. <shrug> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
