BGL
I am tryiing to install OS X Leopard from a RC2 DVD. However, when I boot from the DVD, I eventually get a message that says: "IOATAController is blocking the bus" (or something very similar to this) and then I just get repeated "Still waiting for root device" errors. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to install on the following system: Intel P4 2.00Ghz 2.00 GB RAM 120GB IDE HDD IDE DVD-RW ATI Radeon 9550 AGP graphics Intel 845GA chipset
soulman901
I think the problem is that you are on IDE Hard Drives as well as a system that's probably not SSE3 but SSE2. You may want to read up more about the install for Leopard.
errandwolfe
That may be a case for him, odd thing is on my system (desktop, see specs below), I will get that message every now and then. Seems like a roll of the dice, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Figured it was just something tweaky in Leo, was going to try a fresh install with the new Iatkos distro and see if it made any difference.
