rlweb Posted December 19, 2007 Share Posted December 19, 2007 Hi, I'm newbie here trying to get a linux codec dump for AppleHDA http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=32859 I a knoppix cd and when I load it and go on to the terminal and type in cat /Proc/asound/card0/codec97#0 all i get back is cat /Proc/asound/card0/codec97#0: Is a direrctory. And When I type dir /Proc/asound/card0/codec97#0 It finds 2 files : ac97#0-0 and ac97#0-0+regs but they are not the files I want. Can someone help me? zarac Posted December 19, 2007 Share Posted December 19, 2007 AppleHDA is NOT the kext you need to get your audio working (if you have ac97 card) you need AppleAC97Audio.kext with your device and vendor id codes in the right place.
