owner
I used ToH to install Leopard on an external hard drive but it wouldn't boot so i decided to re format it and try the installation again. After I formated it I realised why it wasnt booting but it was too late. So i tried doing the installation again but now, evrytime I start the installation it says "The Installer could not validate the contents of the "base system" package" I even burned it on another disk but it still wont work Please could someone help me out Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/76776-installer-wont-work/ Share on other sites
josh256
I encountered this w/ the Migration Assistant package on a GA-P35-DQ6 system.. nothing I tried worked so far as a work around is concerned. The same disc (ToH RC2) worked fine on a GA-P35-DS4 (and 10 other not-so-close mobos) go figure. [painful] workarounds: Try a different install disc (switch from ToH to Brasil or vanilla Leopard+EFI installer) If you have another hackintosh move the HD over and install onto it (then switch it back into the target system and boot w/ -f the first time) If you have a working Tiger or WinXP install do the Flat image Leo install (newer method good for >20GB partition) J.
